SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
What is spiritual development? The apostle Paul describes in his letter to the Colossians: “We teach in a spirit of profound common sense so that we can bring each person to maturity. To be mature is to be basic. Christ! No more, no less. That's what I'm working so hard at day after day, year after year, doing my best with the energy God so generously gives me (1:28b-29, The Message).
At Westwood we have several offerings that can help Christian adults become more mature in their faith:
· Sunday School classes are offered from 9:45-10:45 a.m. each week. Each class provides quality Bible study, fellowship and ministry opportunities. We have classes for adults of all ages, and a variety of studies. You can find information about our offerings in the church narthex.
· Disciple Bible Studies are short-term, 90-minute classes designed to develop strong Christian leaders through the study of Scripture. New classes form each September. Our next offering, “Invitation to Psalms,” will be from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning Sept. 9.
· Wednesday Night Seminars are offered from 6:45-7:30 p.m. September-April. Each seminar lasts from one to four weeks. Classes resume September 10, 2008
